Designing an immersive modular stand for a clear business objective

Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas is one of the most demanding trade shows in the world.

In this ultra-competitive environment, a stand must do more than “look good”: it must serve a precise business objective.

It was in this context that Merci Gustave (formerly The Booth Company) supported Arkamys in designing its 30’x40’ stand.

Objective: Transform a stand into a business development tool

The project’s challenge was clear:

  • meet with automotive manufacturers (OEMs)
  • demonstrate the value of a premium in-car audio experience
  • create strong interaction with visitors

The stand therefore had to become a true commercial demonstration tool, not just an exhibition space.

Strategic thinking before design

At Merci Gustave, a stand always begins with a question:
what result should this stand produce?
For Arkamys, we focused on:

  • the staging of the audio experience
  • visitor flow
  • the ability to create a differentiating demonstration moment

Result: an activation strategy centered on an immersive audio challenge.

A modular stand structured into three zones with two brand universes

A modular stand structured into three zones with two brand universes
The stand was designed around three distinct, complementary spaces:

A refined universe – Arkamys
• minimalist design
• brand enhancement
• clear and legible message
Objective: affirm technological expertise and credibility.

A premium universe – T+A elektroakustik
• warmer and more immersive atmosphere
• high-end hi-fi codes
• space conducive to sensory experience
Objective: create emotion and immerse visitors in the product experience.

A product demonstration at the heart of the stand
The central point of the stand:
an integrated car for real-world audio demonstrations.

This setup allowed for total immersion, concrete proof of the technology, and strong drawing power. At a show like CES, experience makes all the difference.
